After growing weary of the 'groundhog day' effect of being a stay at home mom for over a year, I decided there had to be more to my purpose on earth than laundry, dishes and diapers. After riding the waves of guilt, low-self esteem and depression, I decided it was time for me to take charge of my thoughts, renew my spirit and take dominion over my empire!
I began consuming as much of the Word as possible, praying for inspiration, recording my goals and stirring up my creative juices again. God then gave me the idea to create a blog in order to share my efforts in this endeavor with all the new moms that are desperately seeking answers to finding balance after baby. He also told me that this journey is a three step process.
SEEK VIRTUE
Once we know our Designer's plan, accept His love for us and begin to love ourselves, we then seek moral excellence not because its the 'religious thing to do' but because we have experienced true love with God and are passionate about living in His perfect will.
We are not random spare parts, we are precision-tuned vehicles. However, an excellent design, if not implemented according to the manual, can be useless. In order to thrive within our roles, we have to realize our God-designed abilities as women and our unique talents as individuals.
Now that we have a heart full of love towards God and ourselves and have set our minds on firm foundation of moral excellence, we can add the finishing touches to our 'empire' as we embrace beauty in our bodies and our homes.
